The Young Artist Development Program is an essential part of the activities of Paper Label Records. Paul and Chads regard this as an important role of a label in a music world where the focus on new talent is sadly on big money TV talent shows that exploit wannabe stars in karaoke contests.

The idea of the program is to take young bands and artists from the label's local area and give them the opportunity to experience the recording process with an experienced producer and engineer and hone their sound, their songwriting and their performance skills. There is also a focus on how to promote themselves, build an audience for their music and manage the band as a professional business.

The Young Artist Development Program is a result of Paul's other professional life as a teaching musician. He has been teaching for Beyond Eternity Promotions' Rock Schools for several years as well as running a successful private drum tutoring practice. From these endeavours it was felt by both himself and Chads that there were young musicians in their local area who could benefit greatly from some experienced input and take their music past basic demos and into a more professional area.

The hope from the label is that some young bands and artists that we work with will mature to the point where we can start releasing their music.

Currently we are working with exciting young Cheltenham band Delicate Holly and will be recording a demo with them very soon.
